Children’s Art Classes
Are you looking for some fun relaxing art classes provided by a practising local artist for your child? If you are, then enrol him or her in one of my art classes at Carolyn Jarvis Art in Graceville, Queensland. I enjoy teaching students (6 to 17 years old) how to paint masterpieces they can be proud of.
I hold classes each weekend at Carolyn's Home Studio in Graceville with fortnightly Saturday morning classes (10:00 – 11:30am) and weekly Saturday afternoon classes (12:30 - 2:00pm and 2:30 – 4:00pm) at a cost of only $30 per session.
What Your Children Can Expect
The children bring a picture they would like to paint, and step by step, I teach them how to achieve their own interpretation. This way, all ages and stages are happily creating and learning. When their artworks are complete, we will varnish and wire them giving them an artwork they will definitely be proud of!
I supply everything, including paint, brushes, stretched canvases and any mediums and tools needed to create the painting they want. Additionally, I give them some morning or afternoon tea, and we all have a lovely time! As family life is so busy these days, I strive to be very flexible and adapt to what suits each family.
With experience having my own special needs child, I understand the importance of providing inclusive classes, and I welcome all children who wish to use their creative muscles.

An Ideal Learning Environment for Your Children
If you’re concerned about the environment you’re sending your kids to, you can rest assured knowing that I have a Blue Card. I am responsible for providing my students with a safe and supportive learning environment. You can trust that I have taken the necessary steps to create an atmosphere that contributes to their development and well-being.
Bookings are essential as I limit each group to between 4 and 7, depending on the children and their needs. Please call or email me with questions or to book.
Adults' Art Group, Painting for Pleasure
Painting for Pleasure classes are for beginner and novice painters, and anyone who likes to enjoy a morning painting!.
They are like a studio painting sessions where Carolyn provides some guidance and a great space to paint in her home studio in Graceville, Queensland. All you have to do is bring in your own art project and enjoy the company of like-minded artists!
There are two Art Group sessions; Wednesdays 9:30-11:30am and Thursdays 9:30-11:30am.
It is a great way to learn from each other, keep inspired while working with other creative people and have a bit of a social gathering too. Carolyn will be there to guide you through your work and offer advice as required.
What to Bring
You can use Carolyn’s acrylic paints, brushes and anything else you need to create your artwork, but you need to supply your own canvas. You are welcome to bring your own paints, brushes etc. if you wish. Carolyn can give you advice about what to buy and where. When you are finished, we will varnish and wire your painting, so it is ready to take home and hang on your wall!
Time
The art session’s duration is 2 hours., 9:30-11:30am.
There are two Painting for Pleasure sessions; Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Cost
Each session costs only $35.
Carolyn will be there to guide you through your work and offer advice as required. Bookings are required as the group is kept small to retain the calm and relaxing atmosphere and to be sure that you get plenty of Carolyn's time.
